Hello there! Do you love candles? I love burning candles any time of year. Recently, I made this Homemade Strawberry Lemonade Candle for summertime and let me tell you it smells wonderful! This soy candle is very easy to make and doesn’t take long at all. Also, I made this adorable mason jar tag that you can print later in this post. This would make such a cute gift for a friend or family member.
Supplies: (affiliate links)
- Pint Mason Jar
- 4 cups Soy Wax
- Candle Wick
- Strawberry Lemonade Candle Fragrance Oil
- Hot Glue Gun
- Crayons (*optional for coloring the wax)
- Free Printable Tag
Start by applying hot glue to the metal tab on the candle wick. Place the tab in the bottom center of a pint size mason jar. Wrap the wick around a straw or pencil to hold the wick up straight. Set aside.
Place 4 cups of soy wax flakes into a heat resistant bowl. I added one red crayon and one violet red crayon. This gave the candle the beautiful strawberry lemonade color. Using the double boiler method, melt the wax and crayons until completely dissolved into a liquid.
Add 1/2 oz of strawberry lemonade candle fragrance oil to the melted colored wax.
Pour the scented liquid candle wax into the prepared mason jar. Set aside and let harden. The candle wax is a bright red whenever it is melted and will change to pink strawberry lemonade color once completely set and hardened. Trim the wick by cutting it with a pair of scissors.
Add the cute mason jar tag to the candle by punches holes in the tag and wrapping twine around the lid of the jar. This would make a cute gift for someone. I found some pink strawberry scrapbook paper in my stash and added to the top of the lid too. SO CUTE!
