Tropical Detox Smoothie

December 30, 2014 by The Casual Craftlete

Tropical Detox Smoothie It’s almost the new year!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  If you were like me, I ate too much and moved too little.  Those darn Christmas cookies get me every year.  Well, today I am sharing my Tropical Detox Smoothie recipe to help get back on track.  This smoothie is super healthy and it tastes great too.  Just look at those amazing colors!

Tropical Smoothie a healthy smoothie that tastes great This smoothie is made with frozen mango and pineapples, coconut milk and turmeric.  Why turmeric you might ask?  Well, it is an anti-inflammatory and helps with stomach problems like bloat from eating all the cookies.  I garnished the smoothies with organic coconut flakes and blood oranges.  Blood oranges are in season now and I had to take advantage of using them.  They are gorgeous and I love the taste.  This is such a pretty smoothie.

Wow, this sounds delicious! Stopping by today from Project Parade’s linky party and got lost in your site. 🙂 You talk about three of my favorite things–crafting, baking, and running, though I’ll admit I haven’t run consistently since I had my daughter. I’m more of a walk/runner now, ahem. 😉 Anyway, just thought I’d say ‘hi’ and hope you have a wonderful new year!

The smoothie looks delicious! I didn’t realize that little fact about turmeric. I’m going to need to make one of these soon! I’d be thrilled if you shared it at my Creative Ways Link Party that goes live at 8pm Central on Wednesdays. Hope to see you there!
    Blessings,
    Nici

I could use one of these–I’ve been eating way too much candy and chocolate lately!

Hi Stephanie! Glad you liked my detox smoothie. There’s no program or schedule for drinking the smoothie. I just make it when I’m feeling bloated and want to rid my body of unhealthy foods.
