Now that Thanksgiving is over I can focus on Christmas. I just really hate to overlook a holiday, especially a good one like Thanksgiving. One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is to make sweet treats for family and friends. Now that my daughter is old enough she can help me in the kitchen. This rice krispie recipe was a lot of fun to make with her.
- 1 box of Rice Krispies
- 1 package of mini marshmallows
- 3 Tbs butter
- 1 package of white chocolate chips
First you start my making the Rice Krispies. The directions are on the back of the bag of marshmallows. After the Rice Krispies have had time to set up, I used Christmas cookie cutter to make fun shapes.
Next, melt the chocolate chips. I just zapped mine in the microwave stir every 30 seconds to make sure they don’t burn. It took 1:30 total for the chips to melt.
Then I used a butter knife and ‘iced’ the Rice Krispies with the white chocolate. I sprinkled the treat with red and green Christmas sprinkles while the chocolate was still wet.
