Raise your hand if you are addicted to Pinterest like me! There are so many great fall wreaths out there right now. I found a few inspirations and wanted to create my own. I wanted to make a wreath that I could hang on my door now and have it on display through Thanksgiving. This wreath allows me to decorate for all the upcoming fall holidays.
Over the summer I made a burlap chevron wreath which you can find here. I wanted to make a fall wreath that was a little different, so I used a grapevine wreath this time.
Material I used to make the wreath:
- Grapevine wreath
- Burlap ribbon
- Floral steam
- Hot glue gun
- Floral wire
I bought all the materials at Hobby Lobby. Everything was 50% off. I used my 40% off coupon for the wreath. I love buying things on sale!
Step 1: I wrapped the burlap ribbon around the grapevine wreath. Once wrapped completely around I used a hot glue gun to secure the ribbon in place. I love this burlap ribbon. It has little threads of gold throughout. When the sun hits the ribbon it really shines.
Step 2: To add some color to the burlap ribbon I wrapped a burnt orange color raffia over the ribbon, again using a hot glue gun to secure the raffia.
Step 3: I found this really pretty floral stem in the floral section at Hobby Lobby. It has leaves, berries, a pumpkin and a gourd on it. It has every color of fall in it! To secure the steam I used two zip ties; one at the top and one at the bottom. You can also use floral wire. I forgot to pick some up and I was not about to go back in the middle of crafting.
Step 4: I made a big bow using the burnt orange raffia that I used to wrap around the burlap ribbon. I attached the bow to the wreath using another zip tie. Thank goodness you can not see the white zip ties.
I absoulty love how this wreath turned out! The colors are so bright and fun. I can’t wait to hang this on my front door outside!
